MARIETTA, Ga. Scena is a partner of the Partner Alliance for Safer Schools (PASS), the 501(c)(3) that publishes the PASS K-12 School Safety and Security Guidelines. The company's education offering is SecureTwin, a digital twin platform built so school administrators, school resource officers, and first responders can know a campus before they have to walk it in a crisis.

PASS, first established in 2014, gives districts a tiered, all-hazards way to improve school security based on local need and available resources. Its guidelines are used by school boards, public safety, and facilities teams, and have been referenced by organizations including SchoolSafety.gov. PASS does not endorse specific products, services, or vendors. Scena's role is to put that planning work into a building that responders can actually open: a measured 3D twin of the school, tagged for the people who have to use it.

SecureTwin is Scena's public-safety product for schools and other occupied buildings. Field crews capture the campus, then the twin is annotated with filterable safety layers so fire, police, EMS, and school staff each see what matters to them: suppression systems, utility shutoffs, access and egress, tactical positions, medical resources, and hazmat. The same model supports pre-incident planning, role-based access for authorized personnel, RSET active-threat training in the real layout (without emptying the building), and indoor maps that can feed Next Generation 911 dispatch.

"Paper plans go stale the day after a remodel, and a 2D PDF does not tell a new officer which stair actually reaches the roof," said Troy Rushing, president of Scena. "SecureTwin is the school as it stands, in 3D, with the shutoffs and exits labeled. PASS is where districts go for the playbook. We are there so they can apply that playbook to a building they can walk from a laptop, or from a cruiser on the way in."

For K-12 teams, that is the education pitch. Districts can document preparedness, run drills, and share a controlled view with fire and police without handing out a binder that is already wrong. Hosting can sit in a government-grade environment when the district or agency requires it. Exports include annotated floor plans in common CAD and BIM formats for facilities staff who still need drawings.
